Welcome to the Drayton Crown

We are pleased to be re-opening our beer garden from 4th July and ask visitors to please adhere to the governments “stay safe” guidance in relation to your time with us as detailed here.

The picturesque village of Drayton lies in the heart of the Somerset Levels, a unique patchwork landscape steeped in history and rich in wildlife bounded by the Mendip Hills to the north and the Blackdown Hills to the south.

At the heart of the village and the community, the Drayton Crown is a Grade 2 listed public house, which has recently undergone sympathetic and extensive restoration. With traditional, yet contemporary décor it offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere much enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

The bar offers a wide selection of local draught beers, guest ales, lagers, ciders, fine wines and spirits.

Open throughout the day for morning coffee, lunches and evening meals, with a comprehensive menu of freshly-prepared dishes, including lighter bites and specials, made from fresh locally-sourced (whenever possible) ingredients.

The Drayton Crown also offers B&B accommodation in four luxuriously furnished and spacious rooms (including a family room), all with en suites, king-sized (or twin) beds, television and tea/coffee-making facilities.

A light and spacious function room is available for hire. With direct access to a terraced area and lawned garden it is ideal for wedding receptions and parties, and as a meeting venue for corporate hospitality and small conferences. The room also incorporates a skittle alley, which can be made available.

Outside there is a large car park and an extensive paved area and beer garden where visitors can make the most of ‘sunny’ Somerset! We have recently added a children’s play area to our garden, for little ones to enjoy whilst adults enjoy one of our lovely beverages.

Donna & the team look forward to welcoming you to the Drayton Crown.

Closed for now

Following the Covid-19 announcement placing us under Tier 2 restrictions, we have made the sad, but necessary, decision to remain closed until the Government relaxes what is permissible for pubs and restaurants in Tier 2 areas, or we are moved into Tier 1. As soon as we have any notification of the Government’s review of the situation (by Wednesday 16th December 2020), we will review our situation and let you know what our plans are. In the meantime, all of us at the Drayton Crown wish you and your families the very best – and hope to see you all soon. Stay safe.
